Star Point Trading Post and RV Park is a watering hole for the locals, as well as the adventurers that come to this area for exploring and prospecting opportunities. The vast and open landscape makes it a great experience for anyone who visits here. Most of the area is comprised of "Open Range" and "Public Lands," which make public access easy. As the Trading Post Guide, my job is to know as much as I can about the great places to explore, prospect, hunt, and fish in the surrounding area. There are secret areas to find fossils and metal detect. Metal detecting and rock collecting are two of the most popular activities for visitors to this area, so if you are interested in finding gold, crystals, or ammonite fossils, feel free to stop by!

The history of the surrounding area is very intriguing to learn about. There are several ghost towns with plenty of history to discover, as well as wagon roads, and remnants of miners from the 1860's. We offer suggestions to those who come to visit, and are happy to point our guests in the best direction to start their day's adventure. The Trading Post has a great selection of metal detecting supplies and books, area maps, rocks and fossils, as well as ample supplies of fishing tackle and gear, hardware, and groceries for all your needs. Come by, have a seat at the lunch counter and order your favorite beverage or sample the homemade food while you enjoy the fun conversation about the day's adventures.

If you are interested in staying with us, the RV Park has extra large spaces with upgraded electrical supply for both overnight and long-term tenants.
